Hang in there while we get back on track
The Kanban board is a key feature of each sprint in Taka, providing a visual way to see team member assignments and task progress at a glance. It allows for efficient task allocation and tracking of who is doing what. If you prefer a simpler view for tracking your own tasks, use the [[Task List]] instead.
Navigating the Kanban Board
To access the Kanban board, click on the
Kanban tab
in the side navbar. This will take you to the most recent sprint's Kanban board. To switch to a different Kanban board, click on the
Kanban title
at the top of the page, which opens a dropdown to select from other sprints. Alternatively, you can navigate to a sprint via the [[Overview Page]].
Kanban Board Layout

- Sprint Title : Displays the current sprint’s name. Clicking it opens a dropdown to select a different sprint in the same project.
- Add Team Member : Adds a new person to the sprint's Kanban board. If they do not have access to the project, adding them here grants them [[Permissions|contributor]] access automatically.
- Sprint Progress : Opens a modal with the sprint’s [[Sprint Objectives]], showing the completion percentage of objectives.
- Countdown Timer : Displays the time remaining until the sprint’s due date.
- Week List : A backlog section for tasks that need to be completed but are not yet assigned.
- List Name : Each list corresponds to a team member's name, representing their task list.
- Done List : Completed tasks are moved here. Moving a task to the Done list automatically marks it as completed.
- Archive Button : Cleans up the Done list, hiding completed task cards. Note: This does not delete the cards.
- Task Cards : These represent tasks within the Kanban. Task cards may display different icons in the top-right corner to provide additional context: ![[chevron-up.svg]]Marks the most important card in the list, automatically applied to the top card. ![[rocket-launch.svg]]Denotes that the task is a sprint objective. ![[bug-ant.svg]] Indicates the task is a bug submitted through the [[Portal Page]].
Task Cards
Task cards are the core elements of the Kanban board. Each card represents a task and can be manipulated as follows:
- Move : Drag and drop the card between different lists to change the person responsible for the task. The assigned task will now show up in that team member's [[Task List]]
- Edit : Click on the card to open a detailed view where you can edit the title, description, or checklists.
